15. What You Can Learn From a Mouse

"If you examine a mouse it seems you can learn a lesson from them

Like when they pick a direction to go, they’re all in

No deviation with over complication

Even though some of those things are good in moderation

To a mouse, extended conversation could lead to early expiration

So they are bold; they’ll run right across the street or your floor

They’ll even come in the front, and right out the back door

Hop, jump, slide ... whatever it takes

Not worrying about mistakes, or leaving flakes

So cats can track and trace ... their steps

So the main advice I would give to one of those mice

Is sometimes you need to roll the dice, and not stress about the other side

Just sit back, take in the world a little, and enjoy the ride

There’s no need to take on the world so fast

Because your memories are all that will last of your past

But I can’t talk mouse, so they wouldn’t understand

Plus, I’m up here in a nest and they’re down there on the sand."

Then Dexter said, “When you’re safe up here it’s easy to de-stress”

And he thought it might be time for another rest

But fear came over as “Back of the Pack” Jack showed up … an unwanted guest

If you're nervous for Dexter and the canary, you should be

Send them an email and tell them what they should do, or wait until next week
