3. Dexter and the Canary (The Meeting)

So happy, so joyful, so thankful was Dexter

"Sir Dexter," he thought, “My name’s now Sir Dexter”

“I am strong and I am smart, I can probably fly”

And after one minute he was up in the sky

“You see, I’m better than all worms, I can fly and they can’t”

And on and on and on did he rant

It took him awhile to understand the deal

That he was stuck in a beak, the canary’s meal

So he did what he could and he started to speak

“Mr. Bird, Mr. Bird, please put me down

I’m a nice worm and I just got out of the ground

You don’t want to eat me, I’m small and weak

And I’ve got no meat on me; a tiny physique”

The canary said, “you were so arrogant; you thought you were the best

You came out of there like you had an “S” on your chest

And all I heard was how you’re better than everyone

So I swooped down to teach you a lesson, son”

At the nest Dexter thought as to how he'd break free

How he'd use his engineering skills to get out of this tree

What will happen to Dexter, I hope he's alright
